Preacher Curl Bench
A preacher curl bench takes the momentum out of arm training. The angled pad supports the upper arms so the biceps do all the work, giving members the strict, focused curls that build size and strength. Built for constant commercial use, our benches suit gyms, studios, functional training zones and serious home setups.

Preacher Curl Benches for Commercial and Home Gyms
Bicep curls are one of the most popular exercises in any gym, and also one of the easiest to cheat. Swinging the body or letting the elbows drift forward shifts the load away from the biceps. A preacher curl bench fixes this by locking the upper arms against an angled pad, which isolates the muscle and keeps the movement strict from the first rep to the last. It also puts extra emphasis on the lower part of the biceps, which makes it a favourite with bodybuilders and anyone serious about arm development.
For gym owners, a preacher bench is a small addition that makes a real difference. It gives members a dedicated station for arm training, takes pressure off the dumbbell and cable areas at peak times, and suits a wide range of abilities. Beginners learn good curling technique quickly, while experienced lifters use it to finish off arm sessions with controlled, high-quality reps.
At UK Gym Equipment, we supply commercial-grade benches from leading brands, including our own Future range, to suit a variety of budgets and spaces. You can choose from new and ex-demo equipment, so you can match your budget without compromising on the durability a commercial environment demands.
Why Choose a Preacher Curl Bench?
Strict form: The angled pad supports the upper arms, reducing swing and keeping the work on the biceps.
Targeted training: Isolating the biceps helps members build size and strength more effectively than loose, momentum-driven curls.
Versatile: Most benches work with dumbbells, EZ curl bars and Olympic bars, so one station suits several styles of curl.
Comfortable and stable: A solid frame and well-padded arm rest keep lifters steady and comfortable through long sets.
Built for heavy use: Commercial-grade steel frames and hard-wearing upholstery are designed to cope with daily use by many different people.
Choosing the Right Preacher Curl Bench
Think about how the bench will be used and by whom. Check the maximum user weight and the frame construction, as commercial benches should feel solid under load. Look at the seat and pad adjustment, since adjustable seat height helps users of different sizes find a comfortable, correct position. Consider the pad angle and length too, as these affect how well the arms are supported. Some benches are designed for seated use with a fixed pad, while others are freestanding or double as a standing preacher stand. A built-in bar rest or catch makes it easier to pick up and set down an EZ curl bar. Tough, easy-clean upholstery stands up better to heavy use, and a compact footprint helps when space is tight. If you’re equipping a busy facility on a budget, ex-demo models offer excellent value.
